A skill that changes the question.

A place for scientists, formulators and analytical specialists to introduce the expertise they could contribute to VARUNÉ Bio’s development.

Careers and contribution | Expressions of interest.

The work you could improve.

A good introduction connects your expertise with a specific scientific or development question.

Our two focused directions create different demands. Polar-associated biological materials call for careful preparation, characterisation and formulation comparisons. Biochemical light calls for reaction, materials and optical reasoning. Analytical work connects sources, methods and interpretation with the next decision.

Tell us which part of that work fits your expertise, what you have contributed before and what you would need to assess a suitable package. This is an expression-of-interest route; a particular vacancy, appointment or funded project would need its own defined terms.

Examine the development decision

A skill that changes the question.

Open the sequence to examine what a development decision needs.

Identify the exact preparation, its source, and the properties a second laboratory must be able to reproduce.

Explanatory geometry · no simulated or measured performance

Making the comparison stronger.

We welcome introductions relevant to material identity, formulation and interpretable performance.

A useful discussion might examine sample characterisation, a deposited-film endpoint or a benchmark that better reflects a developer’s decision. The first contribution can be a well-defined scientific challenge rather than a broad promise to support the whole company.

We would want to understand your methods experience, the boundaries of your capability and any access or institutional permissions that a proposed package would require. Describe the role you actually played in prior work and identify which outputs you are permitted to share.

Making the evidence easier to use.

A source record should help someone inspect an inference.

Potential contribution areas include source appraisal, data extraction, reproducible analysis, uncertainty communication and the design of useful scientific views. The FAIR principles offer a useful reference for provenance and reuse, without constituting a certification of a Bio system (Wilkinson et al., 2016).

We are interested in how you distinguish reported findings from interpretation and proposed work. A concise example using public, permitted data can explain your approach. Do not include confidential client datasets or unpublished institutional material in an initial enquiry.

From a biological function to a material brief.

The application gives the science its next question.

A contribution deserves clear terms.

Scope, responsibility and resources should be discussed together.

Before work begins, the arrangement would need to address the deliverable, time commitment, fees or employment terms as applicable, oversight, facilities, permitted use and confidentiality. An expression of interest is not an offer of employment or a request to carry out unpaid research.

NISO’s CRediT taxonomy describes different research contributions and explicitly separates that description from deciding authorship (NISO, n.d.). We want conversations about contribution and recognition to be specific. Payment, rights and authorship require their own agreement.

Tell us where you would make the work better.

A short, relevant introduction gives the first discussion a useful starting point.

Include your area of expertise, a public professional profile or relevant permitted example, the question you could help resolve and the kind of arrangement you are seeking. If you represent a laboratory or organisation, identify the appropriate route for discussing access and commercial terms.

We can then assess whether there is a suitable current discussion or whether your introduction is better considered when a defined requirement develops. No salary, visa sponsorship, internship, academic appointment or clinical-study position is advertised through these pages.

Introduce your expertise.

A short, non-confidential introduction can outline the application, the current approach, and where scientific input could help. Scope and next steps would be agreed around the actual project.
