The company we are building

Make biological
possibility useful.

Our purpose is to turn biological function into material choices that cosmetic and ingredient businesses can use with a clear understanding of the evidence.

What we want to change.

A compelling origin can attract attention. A useful material must also have a reproducible identity, a workable preparation and a contribution in a defined application. We want more biological ideas to cross that development gap.

Our intended customers are the teams choosing ingredients, developing formulations and deciding what to test next. The first commercial question is where a better comparison can save uncertainty or establish a worthwhile difference.

How the portfolio can grow.

The near-term route is a scoped development discussion with an identifiable customer problem. A paid research brief can establish the evidence gap, comparison and delivery requirements. A separately funded experiment can then test a defined question with an accountable scientific lead.

Where repeated work reveals a transferable advantage, further development could support a qualified ingredient, a licensed process, a research tool or a recurring evidence service. Each route has different manufacturing, rights, safety and commercial requirements. Public catalogue references are working identifiers for these possibilities.

Long-term ambition, with a first decision.

The ambition is a durable portfolio of materials and development knowledge, with applications that can expand when their evidence and commercial use justify it. Growth should come from repeatable value and rights that can be transferred or licensed, rather than from multiplying unfunded projects.

The five environments organise a broad research library. They do not imply simultaneous experimental programmes. Initial focus remains polar-associated materials and biochemical light. Other options become active only through a separately agreed scope and resources.

The first milestones to earn.

A funded scientific collaboration with defined responsibilities. An original formulation or dispensing comparison that can be reproduced. A useful water-response result in a defined material system. A measured biochemical-light demonstrator. These are development aims, not achieved results.

A paid beauty research collaboration and, later, a licensed material in a genuine commercial formulation would provide stronger commercial evidence. Financing is intended to support agreed milestones; a public ambition is not an investment commitment or a confirmed round size.

What responsible ambition requires.

We would qualify material access, source rights and safety alongside scientific function. Living systems and exceptional landscapes deserve more than being used as a marketing backdrop. A cultivated or authorised reference may offer a better route than new field collection.

A possible Antarctica visit in 2032 is a founder idea only. It is unplanned and unfunded, with no expedition team, permissions, scientific programme or logistics in place. The research library can progress through permitted reference materials and appropriately resourced laboratory collaborations without depending on that idea.
